What If... Killmonger Rescued Tony Stark

 

Last week's episode of What If...? asks the questions What If Killmonger rescued Tony Stark back in Iron Man I. For those new to the show, What If...? is an animated show on Disney+ that changes one moment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe(MCU).

Last week took us on the turn of events where Tony Stark never became Iron Man. Instead, he came back and partnered with Erik Killmonger. For those unfamiliar or need a refresher, in the movie Black Panther introduced to Erik who was the cousin of T'Challa. 

I had high hopes for this episode, but was left a little underwhelmed. I liked the ties to the universe, but the storyline didn't cut it for me. Knowing the characteristic of Killmonger, it wasn't surprising with the turn of events in the show. It was nice to see the Wakandans fight and interact in this episode. 

This week's episode earns 6 out of 10.
