He's All That

This 2021 gender-bent remake of the 1999 She's All That. An influencer, played by Addison Rae, specialize in makeovers bets that she can transform any unpopular kid into the next prom king.

I thought the movie was okay. Personally, I think the 1999 version is better. I like the idea of the gender-swap, but the acting and script were sometimes off. This movie brought up current topics that I think are important to address, especially now with social media playing a big part in everyone's lives now.

The best part was seeing Matthew Lillard recreating his dance from She's All That. It was nice to see him and Rachel Leigh Cook to come back and be part of this project.

He's All that earns the rating: 6 out of 10.

  1. I definitely had to watch this movie when it came out as I am obsessed with "She's All That." I feel like this movie had more of a "Hallmark Movie" vibe, being more cheesy and cliche. Wasn't my favorite but I would watch it again for a wine and chill night when I'm feeling sad or want to gossip during the movie. I do agree the social media aspect made it way more relevant than the 1999 version.
